Nervewire, Inc.
This client is a commodities management firm based in the MidWest. They employ 2,000 people around the world and are the second largest grain handler in North America based on storage capacity.
THE CHALLENGE
The client had recently standardized on SharePoint 2013 with Microsoft 365 as their Intranet and Extranet platform. The organization needed a central Intranet with a unified user experience or design to leverage across the business to provide their users with common information access and system supported business processes across the company.
OBSERVE & ANALYZE
We held user research workshops with project leadership to confirm user segmentation objectives, participants, and materials. We reviewed any relevant existing sites that could be impacted by the intranet and serve as requirements. Parallel with this we conducted user interviews and analyzed results to produce personas and requirements. We also conducted ideation and requirement discovery sessions with project stakeholders to gather inputs to the Intranet direction and design.
ENVISION & DESIGN
Using the research findings, we developed a conceptual model to visualize the Intranet and how different audience types would experience it. Using this model we built up the information architecture and defined the appropriate content types. We created a series of high fidelity wireframes, visual mockups and visual assets to demonstrate how the new intranet would look and function.
